Since the average citizen has no clue to the real scoop this may be difficult

That is why this cite has been put up. To try to find out answers to anyone’s questions. If something is known, then by all means spread the word. If something needs to be found out, then please ask.

Why didn’t our Deputy Chief get the job? When I met her I thought she was very smart and had all the support from the men around her?

Just found this site, it’s great. Let’s hope it continues to grow.
Much better than the other ones.

I’m new to Bay St. Louis, when does the Council meet?

Could someone post a list of all people involved in the proposed marina project? I understand most are people with a vested interest in the success of the project. I would like to make sure that none of them run for public office and take that vested interest with them to the law making/interpreting city table.

I think it the marina would be a good thing for the city. From what I understand, all the Bay council and both cities mayors are in favor of it.

Anon on 15 May, 2008 at 12:06 pm #

“In favor of” and “vested in” are two different things.

Who stands to PERSONALLY profit from it..not just the obvious city benefit. The concept has value, but so does a grocery store..it just seems that unless someone “connected” is involved..it doesn’t make the front burner.

That’s life in the Bay

While its true that people give more attention to what they’re interested in. I don’t think there are any who stand to benefit personally from the marina except downtown merchants and property owners. What you have to watch for are people who say they are for the marina in public and bash the idea behind the scenes. If you want to see this project go through then call your council member and demand that they build the marina instead of a parking garage.

Then call your supervisor and ask that they put forth a tidelands grant to help build the marina. Its a shame that the idea wasn’t floated pre katrina because it could have been built out of the concrete from the bridge demolition.

what? on 2 August, 2008 at 8:02 am #

The city wants to purchase a shoping mall, build a marina and purchase/redo the Second Street school. The fire insurance rate is about to get raised yet there has been nothing said. Anybody know what, if anything,is being done about this situation?
